很久很久以前，來自遙遠(yuǎn)星系的比克大魔王及其手下大猩猩來到地球?yàn)榉亲鞔?，無惡不作，令人民時(shí)刻被死亡的陰影所困擾。此后一群優(yōu)秀的武術(shù)家研究出魔封波，將比克大魔王封印，世界重歸光明。
當(dāng)代美國某座城市，看似孱弱不堪的青年悟空（賈斯汀·查特文 Justin Chatwin 飾）自幼隨爺爺悟飯（蘭德爾·杜克·金 Randall Duk Kim 飾）學(xué)習(xí)武術(shù)，但是爺爺禁止他將一身功夫用于好勇斗狠上面，所以悟空在學(xué)校飽受欺負(fù)與嘲笑。在一個(gè)毫無征兆的日子里，比克大魔王（詹姆斯·馬斯特斯 James Marsters 飾）意外復(fù)活，而悟飯則因此斃命。悲傷的悟空按照爺爺?shù)膰诟狼叭ふ引斚扇耍ㄖ軡櫚l(fā) 飾）和七顆龍珠，以阻止比克的野心。有關(guān)地球命運(yùn)的冒險(xiǎn)由此展開……
